Guidelines and Requirements for Cheerleading Scholarships: Active Participation and Application Procedures

• 90% required active fundraiser participation- meaning that within 3 days of fundraiser announcement you will sign up to participate whether it be an online fundraiser or in person. Fundraiser opportunities are offered both quarterly as well as some monthly (car washes/ bucket drops).
  
  • Active participation means: actively participating not just dropping off a child and leaving, or signing up online but not sharing or trying to obtain funds.
  • Active participation can also be maintained by contacting businesses/individuals for sponsorships with proof of contact, or setting up fundraisers.
  • Active participation can also be volunteering to be a team mom and assisting with securing room blocks for hotels/ arranging team outings and activities/ or assisting with competition prep.
  • There are MANY ways you can assist and it count towards your 90% active participation so if you’re ever needing more opportunities please ask!
  • You may also donate supplies to be counted towards your participation as well! (Car wash, bake sale, etc)
• Required Documentation:
  
  • Last 4 weeks of Paystubs or a current W2
  • Employers contact information must be listed on the form
  • Copy of drivers license if address on application/or documents is different.
• Note that Employment verification- wages will be verified twice within the season to ensure assistance is still required.
• All adults living in the household must be listed on application whether they are the cheerleaders parent/guardian or not as they contribute to the household income.
• Each scholarship is evaluated on a case by case basis and will be awarded based on need and participation. Please ensure all blanks of the application are filled in and proper documentation is uploaded so your application can be reviewed.
• All scholarship applicants are still responsible for paying the fee for tryouts, and to pay the remainder of their tuition and competition fees on time as they are still subject to late fees as outlined in the agreement.
• All scholarship applicants are also required to maintain a card on file to be charged for tuition and all other fees.
• If at anytime you fail to provide the required documents for revivification or fall below the minimum of the 90% active participation you will be given a warning if you do not comply within 3 business days you will be removed from scholarship and all funds will be due at 100% going forward. If you decide to terminate you will be charged the $250 termination fee on your card on file.
• Scholarship determinations will be made by April 30th and recipients will be advised via email their approval or denial. There are LIMITED spots available.
• Scholarship applicants must accept their approval and set up their parent portal account by May 6th with all required information for their scholarship to apply to the first months tuition.
• If a current scholarship recipient no longer needs assistance, or throughout the season and another applicant
